Project: Tiering Knollwood
There was an aggressively sloped hill in the backyard of this customer's house that was covered in weeds and overgrown shrubs.
To give the customer more usable flat land, we excavated and flattened the hill using tiers. Granite steps now lead you from the lawn to the second tier, where there is a fire pit for family gatherings. The hillside of each tier has plantings bedded in black mulch. To finish this project off, next spring the porch will be extended and screen house will be added for extra comfort all summer long.
Project: Lee Pond
Lee Pond started out as an unused ledge filled area next to a rock pile. Not the most ideal spot for a pond, but we made it work.
This customer now enjoys his days of retirement outside by his pond listening to the soothing sounds of the waterfall. Next season, he plans to introduce fish to the ecosystem to complete the pond.
Project: Garage in Dover
This customer's previous detached garage was old and falling apart, which limited its use and kept them from being able to park their vehicles inside.
Granite Ridge demolished and disposed of the existing structure in a safe and clean manor. After the new design plans were finalized, site work for the new garage was started.
Project: Keep the Lights on
This customer had enough with the uncertainty in their power grid and called us to help.
We helped by remotely locating their new auto-start generator away from their home and hooking it up to their main breaker box to power their home during the next power outage.
